Christopher Patrick Schwartz

Chris passed away on Monday, Aug. 28 near Anaconda, Mont. He was born in Cambridge, Mass. on October 14, 1976 to William Patrick Schwartz Jr. and Linda Bray Schwartz. 

Until his mom’s death when he was six years old, Chris lived with his family in Merrimac, Mass. Upon his mom’s passing, Chris moved with his dad to Orange County, Calif., where his dad’s family resided. 

In 1991, his dad and he moved to Big Timber. Chris graduated from Big Timber Grade School and attended Sweet Grass County High School. Chris obtained his GED before enlisting in the Air Force at 18. 

Chris attended Montana State University in Bozeman, and had plans to return this fall. 

During his adult life Chris lived in several Montana communities including Missoula, Bozeman and Butte. He worked mainly in the food service and construction industries.

At the time of his death Chris was working as a volunteer campground host on the Beaverhead/Deerlodge National Forest. Chris is preceded in death by his mother and his uncle Peter Schwartz. He is survived by parents Bill and Vicky Schwartz of Big Timber, his brother Robert of Nashua, N.H., his stepbrothers and sister, John, Matthew, James, Timothy, and Nathaniel Locke and Hannah Lasher. Cremation has taken place. Chris’ cremains will be returned to the earth in a private service later this month. May he rest in peace.
